Michael Springfield

Michael “Mikey” Lynn Springfield, 51 of Providence, KY passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.

   He was born October 2, 1969 in Madisonville to the late Alfred Springfield and Lottie Springfield.

   Michael attended New Hope Independent Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Ware Trucking.

   He is survived by his companion, Tabitha Kay Gibson of Providence; one daughter, Jennifer (Dalton) Phillips of Providence; five sons, Jeremy (Keisha) Springfield of Princeton, KY, Michael (Chancie) Springfield of Princeton, Travis Springfield of Providence, Corey Springfield of Madisonville, and Steven Springfield of Providence; two sisters, Kathy Springfield of Madisonville and Gracie (Paul) Alexander of Diamond, KY; two brothers, David (Sabrina) Springfield of Morganfield, KY and Johnathon (Lucille) Springfield of Evansville, IN; step-children; Emilee (Drew) Rigdon of Sturgis, KY, Joshua Gibson of Sturgis, Corey Gibson of Morganfield, Tiffany (Scotty) Orten of Rabbit Ridge, KY, and Brittany Hart of Rabbit Ridge.; and seven grandchildren, Brenton, Bradon, Sophia, Carter, Natalie, Hadliegh, and Oakley.

   Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Jones and Kirby Funeral Home in Providence with Bro. Robert Woodring officiating. Burial will follow at Oakley Home Cemetery.

   Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

   Pallbearers will be Michael Springfield, Travis Springfield, Steven Springfield, Corey Springfield, Jeremy Springfield, Joshua Gibson, and Corey Gibson.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Springfield Funeral Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
