Mary Blanche (Cowan) Hayes

Mary Blanche Hayes, 85, of Nebo, KY went to live with Jesus on Jan. 4, 2020.   She was born to the late Marcus & Elizabeth Cowan.  Her devoted husband of 64 years, John Will Hayes went to meet Jesus in January, 2016.  She is preceded in death by granddaughter Jennifer Parish Poe.  She was a lifelong member of Rose Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nebo, KY.   She was a devoted wife and mother who worked alongside and supported her husband farming and also enjoyed gardening, sewing, & was a foster parent.  She is survived by 4 children, Anna Beth (Roger) Parish. Dorothy (Ray) Weir, Roger (Joni) Hayes, Tommy (Kathy) Hayes, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, & 3 great great grandchildren.  Visitation will be on Monday from 4pm to 7pm and 9am to 11am Tuesday in the chapel of Jones Kirby Funeral Home.  Celebration of life service will be conducted by Becky Zahrte at 11am Tuesday in the chapel of Jones Kirby Funeral Home with burial to follow in  Rose Creek Cemetery next to her husband.  For online condolences and more visit www.joneskirby.com.
