Earnest Larry “Porkchop” Ware , 74, of Providence, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.
He was born May 20, 1947 in Providence to the late William P. Ware III and Fannie Louise Anderson Ware. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Jason Lee Ware.
Larry loved bowling, traveling, fishing, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, UK basketball and ordering people around. He graduated from culinary arts school at Breckinridge Job Corp. He was a member of the former Church of the Philadelphian Christians where he served as an usher. Larry helped raise many children in Providence. He had many friends and was dearly loved.
He is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline Cobb of Louisville, KY and Violet Kelly of Providence; two brother, Terry (Angela) Ware of Louisville and Paul (Sherri) Ware of Providence; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Providence Chapel, formerly Jones and Kirby, with Rev. James Brasher officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home in Providence.
