Ellen Mae (Jacobs) Riden

Ellen Mae Riden, 92, of Providence, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones, on March 27th 2017.
She was a seamstress and a homemaker for many years.
She enjoyed working in her garden, cooking, and canning. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie O. Riden of Providence; one son Johnny Riden of Dixon; one grandson Timothy Gentry; one granddaughter Debra Kay Waddell. Her parents Grandville & Lettie Mae Jacobs; two brothers Paul Jacobs and Jack Jacobs; one sister Verby Lowery.
She is survived by her children, a son Billy F. Riden and wife Diann; daughters Ella Mae Waddell and late husband Jimmy Waddell; Barbara Gentry and late husband Arden Gentry; all of Providence. Nine Grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren and a brother Dewey Jacobs of Evansville, IN .
Visitation will be Wednesday March 29th 5-8pm and Thursday 9am-2pm with services at 2pm in the chapel of Jones Kirby Funeral Home and burial to follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay
