Michael J. Oakley, 60 of Dixon, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2 at his home.
He was born on April 2, 1952 in Evansville to Frank E. and Thelma Oakley.
He graduated from West Hopkins High School and enlisted in the US Navy after graduation. Michael worked at Buckhorn Plastics in Dawson Springs for several years.
Michael enjoyed video games and movies.
He is survived by a son Chris Oakley of Princeton and a daughter Kelly Oakley of Crayne, Ky. Four grandchildren, Taylor, Brooklyn, Logan and
Brady, a great grandchild, Addison. His mother Thelma Oakley of Dixon two sisters Suzanna and husband Larry Hancock of Dawson Springs, and Stacey and husband Terry Turner of Dixon, a brother Mark and wife Hannah Oakley of Providence and a large extended family also survives.
He was preceded in death by his father Frank and a granddaughter Tori.
Interment will be in Blackford Cemetery at Blackford. Visitation is on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM and from 9 AM to service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
