Theresa Loretta (Hughes) Bishop

Theresa Bishop daughter of John C Hughes and Mabel Foxwell Hughes was born June 5, 1921 in Providence, KY was raised by grandparents Kernry and Cherry Foxwell. Joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 1936 and graduated from Rosenwald in 1940. Married Edgar Parker 1941, one daughters was born to this union Cherry Parker. While later married Clyde Bishop who died 1983. She was a member of Sisters of Help Lincoln Circle Circle No. 4, Sunday school class no. 7, Webster County Democratic Womens Club, A KY Colonel NAACP, New Lamps Lighter Homemakers. Surviving one daughter Cherry White (Indianapolis, IN), one sister, Jane Sheffey (Annadale, VA); 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation and Service will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Cumberland Hill Cemetery. Jones and Kirby Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
