Violet Ruth (Gobin) Childress

Violet Ruth Childress 86, went home to be with the lord July 22, 2018.  She was a member of Green Grove Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker, a loving mother and mamaw.  She loved to bake and quilt.  She loved her family so much.    
She is preceded in death by her husband Rudell Childress, parents Virge and Hazel Gobin, 2 brothers Ralph and Johnny Gobin.  
She is survived by her children Gayle May(Kenneth), Ricky Childress(Crystal), brothers; Kenneth Gobin(Sue), Terry Gobin(Brenda), Grandchildren-6, Great Grandchildren-13, Great Great Grandchildren-7, several nephews and nieces.  
She is greatly missed.  Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday and from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday with Bro Wesley Curtis officiating services at 1pm in the Chapel of Jones Kirby Funeral Home with burial to follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.  Jones Kirby Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
